

Hilary has over 40 years of teaching experience. Hilary has passionately worked on planning counselling training in a variety of settings. She sees this as a creative process.
Hilary owns a private practice, where she works both as a counsellor and supervisor. She enjoys variety and is experienced in working by email, on Zoom, phone, face to face, as well as providing walk and talk therapy. She has recently introduced a therapy dog to her practice.
Hilary holds honours degrees in counselling and in education. She holds a Level 5 qualification in counselling children and young people (passed with distinction) and a diploma in supervision. She passionately enjoys creating learning experiences which put the client at the centre of the work. Her philosophy of teaching involves working experientially, drawing on the student’s present skills and ideas. She sees relationship as being at the centre of all her jobs.
Cath is an approved CPCAB counselling tutor and supervisor writing and delivering counselling courses up to and including Diploma level. She holds a thriving private practice that specialises in Walk and Talk Therapy and creative counselling.
Cath holds a First Class Honours Degree in Applied Psychology; a Master’s Degree in Social Psychology, and she is currently working towards a PhD exploring gestalt theory.
She believes that learning is a lifelong process which is enriched when we use experiential, dynamic and collaborative methods that broaden awareness and thinking. Moreover, that relationship is fundamental to both the counselling and learning processes.
